Book Birthday: The Baby Planner by Josie Brown

Happy Belated Book Birthday to The Baby Planner by Josie Brown.

(Okay, so confession time. You know how sometimes when people have their babies…they are just so overwhelmed that the birth announcement doesn’t go out for months or ever (that would be me: guilty as charged). Well, while this book is not my baby (it’s Josie’s creation and it’s a knock-out) I am pleading mercy on its “Book Birthday” post being a bit late. Migraines and my own actively needy toddler have sidelined me in the last week or so and while they are not newborns; any Mom out there will understand they can both be just if not more time consuming.) Don’t you love when you can tie in your late excuse with the theme? All you Moms know what I mean….and if you are looking for a comedic, red-hot page turner to get you in reading mode and away from the pull-up accidents and intense head pain that can accompany parenthood…The Baby Planner fits the bill quite nicely.

Katie Johnson wants a baby and she seems to be the perfect potential mother-to-be. As a former product safety consultant she knows exactly what is in and out for today’s newborns. She can tell you what’s the best choice for everything from diaper brands to babysitting services. Plus Katie is wonderful with kids and can’t wait to add to her own close knit extended family with a child of her very own. She will be the perfect Mom. Only one problem stands in her way…her husband Alex doesn’t want a baby or at least seems to always have the perfect excuse to delay trying for one.

What do you do when you can’t satisfy your own urge for that little bundle of joy? Well, why not create the perfect business planning for everyone else’s? Katie Johnson is THE baby planner. With a never-ending list of entertaining and often heartbreaking clients plus a non-stop roller coaster ride of plot twists, The Baby Planner will keep you invested and guessing until the very end. A great reading pick for the modern woman and of course today’s ultra hip Mommies. Moms will connect in a big way to some of the experiences within its pages and love the different scenarios of parenting represented. Somehow the book manages to be a laugh out loud, tear jerking suspense novel all wrapped into one.

Will Katie ever get “her” baby or will she have to be satisfied with planning every other birth to perfection? To find out you’ll have to read The Baby Planner.

Oh there are just so many! I am totally obsessed with books so my Amazon wishlist is like a mile high🙂. The books whose birthdays I am looking forward to the absolute most are: Summer in the South by Cathy Holton, The Violets of March by Sarah Jio, The Art of Forgetting by Camille Noe Pagan, To Die For: A Novel of Anne Boleyn by Sandra Byrd and Three Maids For A Crown: A Novel of the Grey Sisters by Ella March Chase (there are more but these are at the top of my list :)).

I am impatiently waiting for Lilly Gayle’s historical Victorian romance Laced with danger, SLIGHTLY TARNISHED, coming June 3, 2011 from The Wild Rose Press.
    Synopsis:
When a brooding English earl with a SLIGHTLY TARNISHED reputation marries his dead wife’s American cousin to save her from her uncle’s vengeful schemes, the sea captain’s daughter with a taste for adventure sparks desires he thought long dead.
Nicole Keller has always been headstrong and independent, but after a failed business venture and a sinking ship take her father, her home, and her childhood sweetheart, Nikki must support herself and her mother. But moving to England and marrying Chadwick Masters, Earl of Gilchrest isn’t what she has in mind. And falling in love with the mysterious earl could endanger both their lives.
    Thanks!
